What started as a simple way to protect our family turned into something much bigger.

A few years ago, our lives shifted after my husband was bitten by a tick and developed myopericarditis. It was unexpected, scary, and a wake-up call to just how serious tick-borne illness can be. At the same time, we’re a family that loves the outdoors—long walks, woods, fields, fresh air. Giving that up wasn’t an option.

So we asked ourselves a simple question:

How do we stay outside… safely?

When we couldn’t find something that gave us real peace of mind, we created it.

We designed a full-body protective layer—what we now call Tick Skins—to act as a barrier between us and the environment we love. It had to be comfortable, practical, and something we would actually wear as a family. So we tested it ourselves—on hikes, around our property, in the everyday moments where ticks tend to find you.

And it worked.

What began as a solution for the three of us quickly turned into something we knew others needed too. Because we’re not the only family who wants to enjoy nature without fear.

Now, we’re building this business together—mother and daughter—with one goal:

To help people stay connected to the outdoors while feeling protected and confident.
